My Guy (and girlies)

Lately I'm feeling lucky for my Guy. Not only is he a supportive husband but, an awesome Dad aswell. The longer we're together the more surprised I am by his goofiness. My Guy keeps my life fun and I love him all the more for it.
My Guy's idea of doing Izzy's hair...a fro
Who loves this more? My Guy or my girlies?

Last Sunday during a pre church nap Izzy awakened me by saying "Look Mommy, fancy!". My Guy had painted her fingernails and toenails. Ellery loves cuddles from my Guy, and often prefers him over me. I get a new kitchen because my Guy wants my life to be easier (my excitement is not even describable). I'm lucky for my Guy.
PS- I am sooo excited to see my family for Thanksgiving...less than a week!

Quick pics...

It has been too long!
-For those who don't know I am now working at the shop with my husband most days of the week (no not full time) and so "my time" is limited. We are having a good summer though. The business is still going and work continues to come in. It has been a learning experience for me, some fun and some not-so-fun.
-I finally have my van back...though is still needs some paint.
-My Izzy is 2 and almost completely potty trained (can you hear the HOORAY!! from there).
-We have done some traveling; to Vegas to see my Dad and Dee (so last min, and so tacky), Meeker for the Barney family reunion, Moab for an impromptu stay (long story and not a fun one), and one coming in August to Idaho to see my Mom and Lacey (can't wait and counting down the days).

Here are some random pictures

This is my little "Blue eyed Beauty"

Izzy with 4 pairs of panties on....don't ask me!

They are starting to play together....so fun!

Izabelle's kitten, Meow-Meow, that we brought home from Meeker

This is what I found after Chad had put the girls down for a nap. They were all over in her crib!

Things to love...

that it's grapefruit season, Izzy's squeals of delight riding on the swings with me, my moonroof in spring weather, that I only teach nursery once a month, talking to my mom and sisters daily, holiday cards in the mail from grandparents, Elly's sweet smile and coos on a day with LOTS of crying, a lost and then found "KeKe" (Izzy's raggy blanket) in the mall, a family hike, Chad coming home for lunch and his spontaneous dance "moves", a box full of dresses for my girls from a sister, girls night of games and gabbing, redbox, that Twilight comes out on Friday, grape limeades from Sonic, and lastly, that there is love and laughter in our home.

PS-I was a mess when Izzy lost her blanket, I cried and she didn't. I was worried how was I going to cope if she lost it for real! I called Chad, and his first question (well after saying, "I told you, you should cut it in half!") "Did you say a prayer?". A tender mercy from Heavenly Father that day!

Is that a doll?

Izabelle new thing is pushing Ellery in her doll stroller (actually, Elly likes it too). Ellery will be 15 weeks next Monday and is only 11 lbs 10 oz...still tiny!

PS- The buffering takes a minute....but it DOES work!

Elly's Blessing

It was our Elly's blessing yesterday. What a wonderful day! Her Daddy's blessing was beautiful and full of the spirit. I was so touched by all of our family and friends support in coming. It was a great day! Here she is with her Daddy.
(Aunt Gwen, I got tons of compliments on her dress. Thank you again!)

We had a lunch for family and friends before. We had; Potato Cheese and Taco Dump soups, rolls and cornbread, fruit, and of course a cake.
It was just Sam's Club cake...Grandma Stephens cake would have made the day perfect!

Still expecting?

Apparently I still look pregnant. Today the woman at Rite Aide asked me when I was due (as I was buying a Cadbury Creme Egg and Dark Rocky Road candy bar). I wanted to die....that is after I throw the candy in the air running from the store! What the heck! You only ask that if it is obvious someone is pregnant. I was kidding myself thinking I was starting to look "normal" again. That's it...I'm walking 4 days a week now!

Cutest smile

I was telling my Mom yesterday that Elly's smile is cuter than Izzy's was. It is only because it is a rarity to see it! When the phenomenon happens it melts my heart. My Mom said I needed to get pictures of it. Today while Izzy napped I attempted and this is what I got.

Oh yeah...

We have been trying to be better about family night and nightly scriptures. Izabelle loves the singing at family night and prolongs bed with wanting more scriptures. Last nights family night was thrown together but, we made brownies as a family. Izabelle did all the stiring and sampling of the chocolate chips. I love her!

Life with two

-At Ellery's 2 month apt Chad and I wanted to ask the doctor a few questions. One being, what can we do to help her sleep through the night? Well...I think the doctor wanted to laugh but didn't. He told us we were spoiled with Izabelle and to not expect a full night sleep until Ellery is 4-6 months. Yes, it is true we were spoiled. Izabelle was sleeping all night at 5 weeks. Ellery is up sometimes every 2 hours, sometimes more. In this case I wish she would grow up faster!

-Not only is Elly not a good sleeper but, she only sleeps in the swing. My MIL bought our swing when we had Izzy. It was a great swing and Izabelle loved it too. Ellery has to have it swing on the highest setting like she going to fly out! (I remember yelling at Chad with Izzy if it was past the lowest setting...oh first time moms!) To make a long story short, the swing started to die. I had my eye on a replacement, the Graco Sweet Peace Soothing Center. However, we could not afford it at $180 bucks. On an end cap at Walmart I noticed 2 on clearance for $135. Well 4 days later when the swing really did die I thought there was no way they would still have one. I called and low and behold, not only was there 1 left on clearance but, it was marked down to $90! A tithing blessing Chad called it!

-Izabelle unfortunately has become a movie buff since Elly was born. Lately it has been Annie. She is now calling our dog Lucy "dumb dog".

-My Dad and his wife Dee came to visit 2 weekends ago. It was a really nice time. They ate Izabelle up! We drive by the hotel and Izabelle says "Buffy"? (their cute poodle they brought with them). They bought me a double stroller that I LOVE! I was thinking I was going to get one for Mother's Day but they went ahead on bought it for us. I have been using it to walk the mall in the mornings as it is still too cold to walk outside. Let me repeat....I LOVE it! Thanks Dad and Dee!

Life with 2 is hard! Kids are hard! I love her but, Elly has not been easy. Izabelle is wilder than ever. I find sometimes I cannot find myself or come up for air. And all that said, I DO love being a Mom. On Sunday Chad stayed home with the girls since Ellery had a cold that we have been passing around. I went to church solo. I was actually able to listen and focus like I haven't in a long time. The theme in sacrament meeting was "Finding Joy in the Journey". How fitting. I do need to be finding more joy throughout my day. Finding joy in my 2 little miracles. Finding joy in the day-to-day menial tasks that I do. How grateful I was for that message. I came home and kissed my husband with renewed joy.
Sisters just hang'n out
This was Chad's Bronco robe he wore when he was a little boy.
Monkey-see-monkey-do! She wants her dolls swaddled just like Ellery. She sits in the bumbo and feeds her dolls.
The new car seat came in this box and Izabelle thinks it's the coolest! Especially since Chad tilts it so Lucy cannot escape.
Crazy hair for a crazy girl!
I cannot believe how big they are both getting. They both LOVE bath time and Izabelle thinks she needs to help wash Elly (which ends up being a cup of water poured on Elly's face!).

Quick pics...

Never, never again am I giving her applesauce! She took the the entire cup and poured it on her head and said "Pretty, Pretty!"
I almost got both of them smiling!

In their "twinner" outfits.
