-At Ellery's 2 month apt Chad and I wanted to ask the doctor a few questions. One being, what can we do to help her sleep through the night? Well...I think the doctor wanted to laugh but didn't. He told us we were spoiled with Izabelle and to not expect a full night sleep until Ellery is 4-6 months. Yes, it is true we were spoiled. Izabelle was sleeping all night at 5 weeks. Ellery is up sometimes every 2 hours, sometimes more. In this case I wish she would grow up faster!
-Not only is Elly not a good sleeper but, she only sleeps in the swing. My MIL bought our swing when we had Izzy. It was a great swing and Izabelle loved it too. Ellery has to have it swing on the highest setting like she going to fly out! (I remember yelling at Chad with Izzy if it was past the lowest setting...oh first time moms!) To make a long story short, the swing started to die. I had my eye on a replacement, the Graco Sweet Peace Soothing Center. However, we could not afford it at $180 bucks. On an end cap at Walmart I noticed 2 on clearance for $135. Well 4 days later when the swing really did die I thought there was no way they would still have one. I called and low and behold, not only was there 1 left on clearance but, it was marked down to $90! A tithing blessing Chad called it!
-Izabelle unfortunately has become a movie buff since Elly was born. Lately it has been Annie. She is now calling our dog Lucy "dumb dog".
-My Dad and his wife Dee came to visit 2 weekends ago. It was a really nice time. They ate Izabelle up! We drive by the hotel and Izabelle says "Buffy"? (their cute poodle they brought with them). They bought me a double stroller that I LOVE! I was thinking I was going to get one for Mother's Day but they went ahead on bought it for us. I have been using it to walk the mall in the mornings as it is still too cold to walk outside. Let me repeat....I LOVE it! Thanks Dad and Dee!
Life with 2 is hard! Kids are hard! I love her but, Elly has not been easy. Izabelle is wilder than ever. I find sometimes I cannot find myself or come up for air. And all that said, I DO love being a Mom. On Sunday Chad stayed home with the girls since Ellery had a cold that we have been passing around. I went to church solo. I was actually able to listen and focus like I haven't in a long time. The theme in sacrament meeting was "Finding Joy in the Journey". How fitting. I do need to be finding more joy throughout my day. Finding joy in my 2 little miracles. Finding joy in the day-to-day menial tasks that I do. How grateful I was for that message. I came home and kissed my husband with renewed joy.

You made me cry. I love you. Wish I could push my double stroller along side you at the mall.
"Joy in the journey"- I need a huge reminder of that myself at times too. Thanks for sharing.
I love the pics--I can't believe how much that Ellie girl has changed. I wish I was there to help and hold--ok just to be a grandma.
We totally need to have stroller play dates! Can you imagine what a sight all 4 of us sisters & all of our babies would be walking down the sidewalk? We would take over the street :D
